Inspired by the growing worldwide coworking movement, BEAHIVE is a new kind of collaborative workspace for professionals. Our first location opened in May '09 in Beacon, NY — the quaint river town in the Hudson Valley that has been bubbling with potential since the renowned contemporary art museum Dia:Beacon moved in.

Our space is injecting some energy into Beacon's (literal) Main St. by corralling talented folks out of their homes and into one place to create a buzzing community hive.

We've also partnered with Chronogram (Luminary Publishing) to populate another BEAHIVE in Kingston, the third oldest city in New York and our first state capital. It started buzzing in the historic Uptown District in December '09.

Perhaps more importantly, we're kicking around ideas to collaborate on projects to help in creating a lively, living, local community. (See our vision of the positive impact we can have on Beacon.) A community incubator.
